In Milkes v. Marriott International, et al, Hackerman was appointed class counsel to multiple investor classes in Marriott-sponsored limited partnerships. The cases covered multiple charges, including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and conspiracy. After almost three years of discovery and a favorable result in a summary jury trial, the defendants agreed to pay $220 million in damages and repurchase partnership interests valued at another $220 million for a total settlement value of $440 million.
